MPs attack planning relaxation
The Government has presented no "rigorous" evidence to suggest that its plan to relax planning laws for home extensions will have any effect on economic growth, the Communities and Local Government Committee has said. MPs argued the case for the plan was "tentative" and warned it could create "confusion" and local disputes.
