Government payments and transactions move online

Government payments and transactions move online
All government departments that handle payments from the public are moving their services online, the Cabinet Office has announced. Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude said the move would save taxpayers up to £1.2bn by 2015, and about £1.7bn a year after that date. Tax self-assessment, visa applications, patenting and pensions and the first services to make the move.
