Household finances worsen in December
British households reported worsening finances in December, with three quarters of people saying they expect their financial situation to get worse in 2013. Only 6% of respondents to a Markit survey said that their finances had improved in the last month. Separate research suggests house prices will continue to fall next year, with the average property losing 1% of its value.
