MPs back bank separation
A majority of MPs think the UK’s banks should be forced to break up investment and high street operations, new research reveals. An Ipsos Mori poll, seen by the Financial Times, suggests more than two-thirds of MPs, including 66% of Conservatives, agree there should be a separation to prevent risky investment practices harming ordinary savers.
