Navy confident over Astute problems
The Royal Navy is confident its new multi-billion pound Astute-class submarines will enter service on time next year, the head of the programme has said. In an interview with the Guardian, Admiral Simon Listor admitted his team had discovered design faults and construction flaws, but said it was not unusual for the first of a class to be "a difficult birth".
