Margaret Hodge has said she will not accept being the subject of tax "smears", the Times reports.
The Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, who has been investigating tax avoidance by multinationals, warned against "trying to smear me to stop me doing the work I intend to do around tax", after inaccurate stories appeared about her affairs in the press.
