Conservative peer and former Times editor William Rees-Mogg has died at the age of 84.

Lord Rees-Mogg was diagnosed with inoperable oesophageal cancer at University College Hospital a few weeks ago before being transferred to St John’s Hospice in St John’s Wood just before Christmas.
