Govt mulls energy compensation plan
Ministers are considering a plan to attempt to allay concerns about disruption to communities from new energy developments by paying compensating local communities. The Sunday Times reports that DECC is discussing a move that would see energy companies paying into a community fund if they build energy-generating capacity such as onshore windfarms.
