Private school families set to lose child benefit
The Independent on Sunday has revealed up to £10m a week is spent on child benefit for children in private education. From 7 January, families with one earner over £60,000 will lose the benefit altogether, meaning the vast majority of parents of privately educated children will no longer receive the handout next year.
