Energy firm staff paid by DECC

Energy firm staff paid by DECC
Employees of companies such as British Gas and Centrica are being paid by the Government for secondment work at the Department of Energy and Climate Change. Green MP Caroline Lucas, who made a Freedom of Information request about the situation, said it was "outrageous" for energy companies to be involved in policymaking. A spokesman said the staff brought "knowledge and expertise which are vital to helping Decc do its job effectively".
