Tories to launch 'Modernisation 2.0'
Leading Conservatives are set to relaunch the party's modernisation project in the coming weeks, with Francis Maude warning that the Tories will be "punished" if they do not show the electorate they have changed. In a book to be launched next month, Mr Maude and others call for the party to remain firm on issues such as equal marriage, while pushing through reforms to education, welfare and planning.
