Labour get £20m union cash

Labour get £20m union cash

Labour have received more than £20m in funding from the unions since Ed Miliband became leader.

The figures mean that the party is reliant upon the trade unions for 81% of its funding while Ed Miliband has been leader, as opposed to 59% when under Gordon Brown.

Tory co-chairman Grant Shapps said "Ed Miliband's reliance on his union paymasters is clearer than ever for all to see."
