Backing for 20mph limit

More than a third of local authorities have introduced speed limits of 20mph or are planning to do so, according to new research. A study by the Independent revealed as many as eight million people are living under authorities where 20mph limits are in operation. A ComRes poll for the paper found more than 60% of people back a blanket 20mph limit in built-up areas.
