UK in 'groundhog' year

UK in 'groundhog' year
The UK economy will suffer a "groundhog year" in 2013, with a repeat of the small growth seen in 2012, a centre-left think-tank has warned.

The Institute for Public Policy Research said policymakers in the UK had "little idea how to boost growth" and were left hoping for good news in the coming year.

The outlook was echoed by the Centre for Economics and Business Research, which warned there was a 50:50 chance that the UK will slide into a triple-dip recession this year.
