May terror suspect 'questions'
The Home Secretary has "questions" to answer about how a terror suspect was able to abscond while on a TPIM, Yvette Cooper has said.
Labour's Shadow Home Secretary questioned whether Theresa May's decisions might have made it easier for Ibrahim Magag to escape survellience.
"Theresa May needs to explain rapidly why surveillance failed on Ibrahim Magag since Christmas and whether her decision to return him to London and to weaken legislation has made it easier for him to abscond and harder for the police to find him now," she said.
"The Government's own independent reviewer of terrorism legislation has already raised questions about whether it would have been harder for Ibrahim Magag to abscond in from the West Country, and concerns that Magag was allowed back in London 'where his associates were'."
