Clegg speaks at conference
A ComRes poll for the Independent on Sunday claims over half of people who voted for the Liberal Democrats in May's general election think the party "sold out" by forming a government with the Conservatives. The result of the poll was revealed on the night leader Nick Clegg addressed the "Yes! to Fairer Votes" rally at the Liberal Democrat party conference, telling members that campaigning for the alternative vote was "about real democracy" and "putting people back in charge". Also speaking at the rally were MPs Jo Swinson and Tim Farron as well as former Independent MP Martin Bell.
