Commenting on the appointment of Matt Hancock as the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive Officer at Alzheimer’s Society said:

“Having already shown his commitment by becoming a Dementia Friend, Alzheimer’s Society looks to the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to deliver real change for people with dementia who, for too long, have been treated as second class citizens by our health and social care system.”
