NASUWT comments on A-Level results
Commenting on the A-level results, Chris Keates, General Secretary of the NASUWT - The Teachers’ Union, said:
“Congratulations must go to young people and their teachers who have worked so hard to deliver yet another excellent set of results.
“The fact that achievement has remained high against a backdrop of rushed and poorly thought-out qualifications reform is a testament to the dedication and hard work of teachers.
“They have achieved these results against a backdrop of acute teacher shortages, rising class sizes and funding pressures in schools.
“Credit also must go to pupils for whom these qualifications are central to their future education and employment prospects.
“As we celebrate the achievements of today’s students, the Government must act to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to make the fullest use of their skills and talents.”
