Action for Children

In response to todays news about provision of childcare, Emma Smale, head of policy and research at Action for Children, said:

“Providing high quality childcare to all families would help to ensure young children get a great start that prepares them socially, emotionally and educationally for school.

“Children’s centres are best placed to make sure that the most vulnerable children can benefit from support.

“It is important to recruit qualified professionals who understand young children’s educational needs and who can best help them achieve.”
