The Royal College of Midwives

The Royal College of Midwives

1 min read Partner content

The Royal College of Midwives is the only professional organisation and trade union dedicated to serving midwifery and the whole midwifery team.

MPs elected on 8th June will make some big decisions about the future of the UK. This will include the future of the National Health Service, which faces many challenges.

The RCM has identified five key “asks” that we are making of candidates putting themselves forward for election to the House of Commons:

  • Securing better outcomes for women
  • Improving public health
  • Eliminating the national shortage of midwives
  • Remaining open to European midwives
  • Fair pay for NHS midwives and maternity support workers

You can read the full RCM manifesto here.

Candidates wanting to let us know what they think, can do so here.
