Implementing the forthcoming National Accident Prevention Strategy - BSC comment

1 min read

Today, Lord Jordan will ask a question on implementing the forthcoming National Accident Prevention Strategy. The British Safety Council have released the following statement.

The British Safety Council has advocated for some time for local Authority funding to be adequately resourced to enable public and employee health, safety and welfare to be safeguarded.

Pro-active inspections are crucial for keeping the public and workers safe and we must do all we can to ensure that preventative measures are maintained to prevent accidents from happening.

We call on the government to ensure suitable levels of funding is protected in the forthcoming budget which will ensure this objective is achieved.
