The BSA appreciates that the situation surrounding the outbreak of Covid-19/ coronavirus continues to evolve. The current BSA position is as follows:

“The BSA and its members are paying close attention to Government and NHS guidance as it is updated. The focus is on the personal safety of both staff and customers, coupled with being ready should it become necessary to mobilise existing [operational resilience] plans to maintain customer service.

"We are in close touch with the regulators and stand ready to act if necessary.

"Anyone who is concerned about their ability to meet their mortgage repayments at this time is encouraged to speak to their lender as early as possible to get help.”
