Rachel Tuffin, College of Policing Interim Chief Executive has responded to the police pay award for 2017/18.

The people working in policing are our greatest asset and it is encouraging to see this recognition for our members who protect the public in challenging circumstances. Officers work tirelessly to tackle the complexities of modern policing and meet the high expectations placed on them by the public.

Work is ongoing to create career opportunities that offer reward and recognition for core policing and advanced skills, knowledge and to recognise those who help to develop others.
