The British Safety Council welcome the announcement from the government to ban the use of all flammable external cladding on high rise buildings.

The British Safety Council welcome the announcement from the government to ban the use of all flammable external cladding on high rise buildings following the terrible tragedy and subsequent loss of life in the Grenfell Tower fire last year.

We would urge the government to go further still, and follow the advice of the Shadow Housing Secretary in ensuring additional proportionate control measures relating to residents safety are effectively implemented as a matter of priority.
