Heathrow is proud to announce the unveiling of over 200 stunning GREAT campaign images across Terminal 3, displaying a mix of heritage sites pioneering British businesses and cultural attractions across the UK.

Over 200 Images showcasing Britain and Northern Ireland as tourism and business destinations to be prominently displayed across Terminal 3

  • Heathrow has donated £500,000 worth of space for the GREAT Britain Campaign (‘GREAT’)
  • UK Tourism Minister has unveiled the images, to be viewed by 12m tourists

The UK Government's GREAT Britain Campaign artwork at Heathrow showcases the many benefits of visiting and doing business in the UK. The images, which capture the beauty of different parts of Britain and Northern Ireland, have been curated as part of a joint initiative by GREAT and Heathrow.

More than 12 million passengers will be able to view the pictures which highlight scenes unique to the UK; from the Angel of the North located in Gateshead, to the Queen's Guard posted at Edinburgh Castle.

John Glen MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Arts, Heritage and Tourism has unveiled the artwork, which is prominently displayed across an estimated £500,000 worth of space in Terminal 3. These images will also be shared across Heathrow's social channels, thus extending the reach beyond Terminal 3's walls and celebrating the beauty of Britain and Northern Ireland.

Heathrow's Chief of Staff and General Counsel Carol Hui said:
“As the UK's only hub airport, Heathrow is the gateway for many travelling to the UK for business and leisure. Therefore, we are delighted to support this campaign and highlight the many factors that make Britain a great place to visit, do business and to live.

"We're proud to show some 12m passengers what makes the UK one of the most popular destinations in the world and bring to life why we should all be proud of it as a travel and trading destination."

UK Tourism Minister John Glen MP said:
“London is one of the most visited cities in the world, with Heathrow the gateway to Britain for millions of people every year.
“I am delighted that visitors to Terminal 3 will be greeted with fantastic images that strengthen our welcome and promote the diverse array of attractions the whole of the UK has to offer. This latest part of the government's GREAT Britain campaign will help encourage people to explore more of our beautiful country.”

British Tourist Authority Chairman Steve Ridgway said:
“Inbound tourism is one of the UK’s most valuable export industries and we want to provide a world-class experience for the millions of visitors who travel here every year, more than 70% of whom travel by air.

“This wonderful showcase of our vibrant cities and countryside, our culture and heritage, not only promotes a great message of welcome, it leaves the millions of visitors travelling through Heathrow in no doubt about the amazing experiences that you can only have in the UK."
