24 May 2021: The Railway Industry Association (RIA), the national trade body for rail suppliers, has launched a series of ‘Meet the Bidder’ sessions of behalf of HS2, from 17 to 30 June 2021.

Taking place over two weeks, RIA will be organising a series of meetings between HS2’s Preferred Bidders, and SMEs wanting to work with them, for the Operational Telecommunications and Security and Tunnel and Lineside M&E Systems packages. Each package contract is worth over £300 million.

Suppliers looking to meet with the HS2 preferred bidders are invited to complete an Expression of Interest form and submit it by 17:00 on Monday 7 June 2021

The links to each interest form can be found below:

Kate Jennings, Policy Director at the Railway Industry Association, said: “With the main civil works of HS2 Phase 1 getting underway, it is fantastic to be bringing rail businesses together in order to support this landmark project.

“HS2 will create thousands of jobs and billions of pounds of investment across the UK, benefiting businesses and communities along the route and beyond. Ultimately the scheme will play a major role in supporting the economy, as the country looks to bounceback post-Coronavirus.”
