Dominic Raab’s diary aide suspended after ‘sugar daddy’ claims

1 min read

A senior aide to Dominic Raab has been suspended following claims she sold sex online and boasted of her access to the Housing Minister.

Mr Raab’s diary secretary reportedly advertised on controversial website Seeking Arrangement, which describes itself as "the leading Sugar Daddy dating site”, before meeting twice with an undercover reporter from The Mirror and offering "full undisputed access" to herself for £750.

According to reports, she joked that she would “love to get sacked” for having sex in the minister’s office and said of Mr Raab: “I know everything about him. I know his every move. I know where he is today."

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has now suspended the civil servant, who has been named by The Sun as Rebecca Tott, a former diary secretary for Tory grandee Lord Heseltine.

Ms Tott - who featured in a publicity campaign to advertise the civil service’s apprenticeship scheme - told the paper: “Obviously the allegations aren’t fantastic. They aren’t great for my career but we’ll deal with that.”

It is understood that Mr Raab did not play a role in hiring the diary secretary, who was a Whitehall official rather than a political appointee, and there is no suggestion that he was aware of her activities.
