Theresa May 'preparing to quit on 30 August, 2019'

Theresa May plans to stand down as Tory leader on Friday, 30 August, 2019, it has been claimed.
The Prime Minister wants to deliver Brexit before triggering a Conservative leadership election in two years' time, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Mrs May has also been wooing angry Tory MPs by inviting them to Chequers for prosecco and homemade chocolates, the paper said.
One Tory MP said: "It's clear she won't lead us into another election and will be gone by September 2019.
"She invited MPs to Chequers to ensure there isn't a leadership contest in the meantime.
"Giving the dogs a stroke is better than giving them a kick, I suppose."
Mrs May has been under huge pressure from within her party ever since losing her Commons majority in June's election.
According to the latest theory, the Tory leader will be left in place to oversee Britain's departure from the EU on 31 March, 2019.
She will then announce her intention to depart, giving the Conservatives the summer to have a contest to succeed her.
The Prime Minister would then officially leave office on 30 August, allowing her replacement to take over in time for the new political year.
But a Downing Street source dismissed the claims and said: "We have hit peak silly season."
