Go-Ahead achieves its highest carbon disclosure project rating
The Go-Ahead Group plc has scored 84 points out of 100 and is rated B in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)UKresults.
This is the highest score achieved by the Group so far and a seven point improvement upon last year’s disclosure score (77B). Go-Ahead’s performance has improved steadily over several years.
Environment manager Chris Grinstead, said: “Our continuous effort to improve environmental performance throughout all our bus and rail operating companies have contributed to this strong result.”
Go-Ahead places a great deal of emphasis on carbon, water and waste reduction and has earned a well-deserved reputation as a leading business in its sector for environmental responsibility and sustainability. Over the years, Go-Ahead has continually invested in maintaining a young, green fleet. The average age of Go-Ahead’s buses is one of the lowest in the sector at 7.5 years and the Group now operates over 200 alternative fuel vehicles.
