The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) will be highlighting the benefits of its Professional Development Phase at the annual Association of Veterinary Students (AVS) Congress in Glasgow later this month.

On Saturday 24 January the RCVS will be attending the AVS Careers Fayre at the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine between 10.30am and 5pm to talk to students about the Professional Development Phase – a self-assessment period for recent veterinary graduates which encourages them to reflect on their progress and develop their confidence and competence over their first year or so in practice.

Mary Thomson, one of the Postgraduate Deans who act as a point of contact for recent graduates and who monitor their progress, and Stephanie Platt, Education Officer, will be on hand to answer any queries. Visitors will also be able to pick up a tablet device cover as well as literature about the Professional Development Phase.
