Statement on new NICE guidelines

Responding to new guidance issued by NICE to help local authorities reduce the high levels of diabetes and cardiovascular disease in people from minority ethnicities, Dr Jacquie Lavin, Head of Nutrition and Research at Slimming World, said:

“As NICE stakeholders, Slimming World was aware of the recommend changes to guidance for black and ethnic minority groups and at the end of 2013 revised our member materials to reflect this new advice and added additional lines and information into the weight range chart.”
