Harry Dunn’s mother urges Boris Johnson to 'do the humane thing' and get Anne Sacoolas back to UK

Harry Dunn’s mother has made an emotional plea to Boris Johnson to force the US to hand over the American diplomat’s wife charged over her son’s death.
Charlotte Charles said the Prime Minister must "do the humane thing" and ensure Anne Sacoolas faces criminal proceedings in the UK.
Mrs Sacoolas is wanted in connection with the death of 19-year-old Mr Dunn, who was killed when his motorbike was hit by a car outside a US military base in Northamptonshire last August.
She flew back to America within days of the incident, and the US has rejected the Government's plea for her to be extradited back to the UK.
Appearing on the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire Show, Ms Charles said: “Boris Johnson you are the one with the power to be able to bring Anne Sacoolas back to the UK.
“Do the humane thing and make our country proud of you and bring her back, please.”
She added: “Show us you are willing to stand up for your citizens’ rights.”
Mrs Sacoolas and her family's lawyer, Radd Seiger, are set to meet with Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to discuss the case.
Last week, Mr Raab said the US position that Mrs Sacoolas had diplomatic immunity when the incident occured was "denial of justice".
He said the UK would have “acted differently” in the same circumstances and said the Government was “urgently considering” its options over the case.
Mr Seiger said they were “100% sure” Mrs Sacoolas will come back to the UK, adding: “Let’s be clear, this is morally and legally indefensible and we will reverse it.”
Number 10 said on Monday that Boris Johnson had again raised the case in a phone call with Donald Trump on Friday.
The Prime Minister's spokesperson said: "The PM was clear that we think the individual involved should return to the UK."
