Mind: "We’re concerned about the mental health of all our key workers, including health and social care staff"

Mind have responded to an article by Ian Byrne MP

Paul Farmer, Chief Executive of Mind, said:

“We’re concerned about the mental health of all our key workers, including health and social care staff, who are risking their safety and wellbeing to help others stay safe and well; and helping keep the country running during the coronavirus outbreak.

"We know it can be really difficult to ask for help with your mental health, particularly for those busy working on the frontline, often putting the needs of others before their own.

“We want to make sure our hard-working key workers are supported, given the huge challenges they face to their mental health, which could become worse if left unchecked.

"That’s why Mind, Samaritans, Shout and Hospice UK, with support from The Royal Foundation, has launched Our Frontline – 24 hour text and call support and resources to protect and promote good mental health now and into the future.”
