Shadow culture secretary Thangam Debbonaire has lost her seat in Bristol to the Green Party by more than 10,000 votes.
Debbonaire, who had been an MP since 2015, secured 14,132 votes in Bristol Central, while Green Party co-leader Carla Denyer won 24,539.
The seat had been a key target for the Green Party, who were looking to build on the one seat they had in Parliament in Brighton.
The Conservatives were in a distant third place, having won 1,998 votes, with Reform UK in fourth and the Liberal Democrats in fifth.
Debbonaire is the second Labour shadow cabinet member to have lost their seat this morning, after shadow paymaster general Jonathan Ashworth lost to an independent candidate in Leicester South.
The Labour Party is nonetheless on course to win a huge parliamentary majority, meaning leader Keir Starmer will become Prime Minister on Friday.
