The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) will be honouring Joan Walley in recognition of her outstanding parliamentary service and her dedication and support to the CIEH at an awards reception at the Houses of Parliament on 16 July 2014.

CIEH Chief Executive Graham Jukes, OBE, said: “Honorary membership of the CIEH is a unique and very special grade of membership only given to those who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of others. Through her parliamentary work and in her support as a Vice President of the CIEH, Joan has provided such distinctive service and support that we felt it was a fitting tribute to publicly acknowledge the work she has done as she comes to the end of her parliamentary career.”
