Government Departments:
Department for Transport
Office of Rail and Road – Declan Collier named as the preferred candidate for Chair.
Vehicle Certification Agency - Clive Scrivener has been appointed as Non-Executive Chair starting in October.
Department for Work and Pensions
Health and Safety Executive - Richard Judge stepped down as Chief Executive.
Local Authorities:
By-election Results 23rd August
Rushcliffe Council – Rex Walker elected for Gotham – Conservative hold (Stuart Matthews resigned and stood as an Independent candidate).
Knowsley Council – Gary See elected for Halewood South – Labour hold (Tina Harris died).
Wirral Council – Jo Bird elected for Bromborough – Labour hold (Warren Ward resigned).
North Warwickshire Council – Marian Humphreys elected for Newton Regis and Warton – Conservative hold (Patrick Davey resigned).
East Hertfordshire Council – Sophie Bell elected for Watton-at-Stone – Liberal Democrat gain (Michael Freeman resigned).
Cornwall Council – David Parsons elected for Bude – Liberal Democrat hold (Nigel Pearce resigned).
Industry
Trade Associations
British Medical Association - Lewis Morrison elected as Chair of the Scottish Council and Andrew Buist as Chair of the Scottish GP Committee.
Royal College of Nursing - Janet Davies to stand down as Chief Executive and General Secretary at the end of August.
Corporates
Bombardier Aerospace - Danny Di Perna to become Chief Operating Officer, Aerospace on 15th September.
HSBC Scotland – Alison McGregor stood down as Chief Executive and will not be replaced.
Interest Groups
Teenage Cancer Trust – Liz Tait to join as Fundraising Director.
Working Families - Jane van Zyl named as Chief Executive.
Crohn's and Colitis UK – David Barker to stand down as Chief Executive.
British Association for Immediate Care - Gary Scott appointed as General Manager.
