Retail sales highest since July as investors snap up equities The Investment Association | Investment Association 1 min read07 January 2016 Partner content The Investment Association today publishes its monthly statistics for authorised investment funds for November 2015 which show: Total net retail sales hit £1.7 billion in November, the highest sales since July 2015 Equities continue to be the best-selling asset class for the seventh consecutive month with net retail sales of £1.1 billion The UK was the best-selling region for equity funds with net retail sales of £611 million UK Equity Income returns as the best-selling sector with net retail sales of £448 million Guy Sears, Interim Chief Executive of the Investment Association, said: "Net retail sales hit their second highest levels of 2015 at £1.7 billion in November. "This was mainly driven by investors looking to equity funds for returns, with UK and European focused products leading the way. We also saw renewed investor appetite for Japanese equity funds as the sector returned to the top five selling with net retail sales nearly double their 12-month average."
