WWF-UK highly commended at National Blog Awards
WWF-UK picked up a ‘highly commended’ award at the annual National Blog Awards held in London on Friday 25 April and was chosen as one of the top three blogs in the travel category.
Neil Gunn, Digital Strategy Advisor at WWF-UK, said: “Our people are one of our biggest assets and the blog site provides the perfect place for people to learn about who we are behind the world famous panda logo. We’ve recently revamped our blog site so receiving recognition is a testament to the people who have contributed and work so hard to ensure the page is the best it can be. We’re also really grateful to some of the high profile guest bloggers we’ve had including Simon Reeve and Gordon Buchanan, these blogs bring something special to the page”.
“We’re delighted to receive this special recognition. We intend to continue working hard on the blog so that we can bring together the best conservation stories from around the world.”
The blog runs between three and six posts a week and covers everything environmental from the illegal wildlife trade, to climate change and investigating the health of the world’s most famous rivers with everything in between.
