Damian Green 'could face second sex claim probe'

Damian Green may face a second probe into claims of sexually inappropriate behaviour, according to a report.

Anyone with fresh allegations about the de-facto deputy prime minister has been encouraged to contact the the parliamentary commissioner for standards Kathryn Hudson.

A Cabinet Office investigation is already underway into claims he touched the leg of a woman thirty years his junior and used a work laptop to watch pornography.

The results of the probe are expected to be revealed before parliament finishes for Christmas. Mr Green has insisted the claims are “completely untrue”.

Ms Hudson is expected to be named the new arbiter of sexual allegations against MPs, according to the Sunday Times

The paper added that there have already been calls for the allegations against Mr Green to be referred to the new system.

Labour MP Jess Phillips said: “The Cabinet Office investigating itself is akin to people marking their own homework.

“I would encourage victims of members of parliament to use this new system, because it is the only system that has a degree of independence through Kathryn Hudson.”
