Philip Hammond 'labels Michael Gove a liar' during furious row over Brexit NHS promise

Chancellor Philip Hammond has reportedly stunned colleagues by calling his Cabinet colleague Michael Gove a liar in a row over Brexit.
Mr Hammond accused Mr Gove, a leader of the Vote Leave organisation, of “misleading voters” over the infamous claim that leaving the European Union would free up £350m per week to invest in the UK.
The row happened in a Cabinet sub-committee focused on post-Brexit trade last week, according to the Sun.
When Mr Gove told the meeting that the referendum shows government-led campaigns don’t work, Mr Hammond claimed Vote Leave’s success was based on the “misleading” NHS claim.
A source told the newspaper: “Hammond absolutely went for him.”
