Pro-Corbyn MP: Tories are the enemy and I won't be friends with any of them

A new pro-Jeremy Corbyn Labour MP has declared Tory MPs to be “the enemy” and said she has “no intention of being friends with any of them”.
Laura Pidcock, who won the North-West Durham seat at the general election, said she was in Parliament to “be a mouthpiece for my constituents and class”.
She made waves with her maiden speech in the House of Commons, in which she railed against the “intimidating” and “archaic” atmosphere of Parliament.
Speaking to controversial left-wing site Skwawkbox, she said she had a “visceral” dislike of Conservatives and was “disgusted at the way they’re running this country”.
Asked how she views rival MPs, Ms Pidcock said:
“The idea that they’re not the enemy is simply delusional when you see the effect they have on people – a nation where lots of people live in a constant state of fear whether they even have enough to eat.”
She claimed there were “two types of Tory” – those born into privilege, and the “ideologically driven” who believe capitalism is the best route to prosperity.
“Whatever type they are, I have absolutely no intention of being friends with any of them.
“I have friends I choose to spend time with. I go to Parliament to be a mouthpiece for my constituents and class – I’m not interested in chatting on.
“I feel disgusted at the way they’re running this country, it’s visceral – I’m not interested in being cosy.”
She also appeared to suggest that the Department for Work and Pensions was designed to force benefit claimants into suicide.
”Just today I dealt with constituent who was suicidal because of a system that depersonalises and frustrates people with the aim of making them give up on their claim – or even on life."
