Theresa May widens poll lead over Jeremy Corbyn to five points

Theresa May has extended her poll lead over Jeremy Corbyn to five points in spite of ongoing government divisions over Brexit and the continued fallout from the Windrush scandal.
The latest YouGov poll for The Times has the Tories up one percentage point on last week, rising to 43%.
Labour remains unchanged on 38%, while the Lib Dems are up two points to 9%.
The boost for Mrs May comes amid a heated Cabinet row over the UK's future customs ties with the European Union.
Ministers are also still grappling with a scandal over the harsh treatment doled out to long-standing Caribbean immigrants who came to the UK decades ago.
Mrs May has also widened to ten points her lead over Jeremy Corbyn when voters were asked who they think would make the best Prime Minister.
About 39% of voters back Mrs May, a rise of two points, while a quarter (25%) opt for Mr Corbyn, down two points.
YouGov spoke to 1,648 adults over a two-day period this week, and the poll is the first by the firm since last week's local elections.
A projected national vote share from the local vote put both parties neck-and-neck on 35%, with the Lib Dems on 16%.
