Tory MP removed from Commons bar by police after complaints of 'sexual touching'

A Conservative MP was removed from a Commons bar by police investigating accusations of "sexual touching".
Officers escorted Ross Thomson, who was elected MP for Aberdeen South at the 2017 general election, out of Strangers bar on Tuesday night.
According to the Guido Fawkes website, the backbencher left the bar and returned on several occasions before the police were called.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called to a bar within the Palace of Westminster following a report of sexual touching.
"Officers attended and spoke to the parties involved - three men in their 20s and 30s. However, no formal allegations were made to the officers and no arrests were made."
Mr Thomson, 31, was unavailable for comment.
A spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said: "We are aware of reports of an incident last night and the matter is being looked into. We have no further comment to make at this stage."
